The "Safe Cereals" project examines if some varieties of cereals containing high levels of health promoting compounds are less frequently affected by Fusarium fungi, and if this reduces the risk of contamination by harmful toxins – called mycotoxins.
The research team will present the results of three years of field and laboratory research in a final workshop. Participants will discuss the needs on the practice side, as well as possible solutions.
This event is primarily aimed at stakeholders of the agri-food and cereal sectors, members of associations, food industry and trade representatives, as well as agricultural advisors, researchers and farmers.
